- what: The authors report on the successful application of this quantum technology to improve the shot noise limited sensitivity of the Advanced gravitationalwave detector. To estimate the effective squeezing level, the authors determine the changes in shot noise level from the optical gain of the interferometer arm cavities, after an off-line calibration.
