SUMMARY

    The World Health Organization (WHO) data suggest that the decline in the prevalence of caries in the first decade of this century is only noted in HICs, e_g, USA and Western Europe, whereas LMICs have either had a less explicit reduction or an increase in burden in certain countries, such as Gambia, Croatia, Saudi Arabia, and Moldova.
