Under the EPR hypothesis, delayed fluorescence imaging after earlier ICG administration (thus enabling the EPR phase) could visualize only the tumor-retained ICG since the rest would have been cleared from circulation14. The aim of FGS is to display a live stream of color images of the surgical scene, augmented with a pseudo-color map, indicating the macroscopic extent of the tumor (a "tumor probability map").
