  • What: This study showed that sintered pellets obtained from five African pellet plants had vastly different alteration penetrations. The aims of this study could only be achieved if the surface and core properties of oxidative sintered pellets could be evaluated. The primary focus was on investigating the oxidative behavior of chromite ores sourced from various mines in South Africa, with specific attention given to the variation in mass gain during oxidation.
