SUMMARY

    Though one may be able to store the same kind of information in working memory (i.e. short-term memory), the oft-ignored difference between working memory and semantic memory is that the latter allows for the long-term storage (more than a few seconds) of the information, which involves not only the hippocampus but also a vast network of cortical regions. This study investigates how the Internet plays a role in a transactive memory system with Internet users of the modern generation, the Internet`s comparative effects on transactive memory and semantic memory . . .
