Interrogating the role of media in changing the status of women in kerala: a study of the perception of youth

HIGHLIGHTS

• What: This study seeks to analyse the stereotypical gender constructions propagated through social media platforms. The Article focuses on the women issues, the constitutional provisions and Government policies for the empowerment. The study focused on the two famous serials ‘Chandanamazha` and ‘Manjurukum Kalam`. Patriarchal ideologies and socialization can be the main reason for this concept.
