SUMMARY

    Behcet`s syndrome is an idiopathic, chronic, relapsing, and multi-systemic vasculitis with the characteristic of recurrent oral and genital aphthous ulcers, ocular disease, and skin lesions. Cortic osteroids, 5-aminosalic ylic acid derivatives, immunomodulators, blood transfusions, thalidomide, pentoxifylline and, more recently, antitumor necrosis factor monoclonal antibody have all been used to treat Behcet`s syndrome with varying degrees . . .
