SUMMARY

    Informal payments have dominated the public education sector in Zimbab the authors where extra lessons were initially designed by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education to assist learners with lagging aspects of their formal school learning areas. Undoubtedly, payments for extra lessons (that are not sanctioned by the government) negatively affect children whose parents are already struggling to pay normal school fees, let alone the costs for extra lessons. Many children end up losing on lessons and this has an impact on the realisation of children`s right to education, particularly inclusive education . . .
