SUMMARY
Only a few cases of natural hybrids were recorded: Ch. plumosus × Ch. entis (Shobanov, 1989); Ch. plumosus × Ch. muratensis (Ryser, Scholl and Wülker, 1983); and Ch. riparius (Meigen, 1804) × Ch. piger (Strenzke, 1959). Several hybrids were also obtained under laboratory conditions: Ch. plumosus × Ch. vancouveri (Michailova and Fischer, 1986); Ch. plumosus × Ch. balatonicus (Dévai, Wülker and Scholl, 1983); Camptochironomus tentans (Fabricius, 1805) × C. pallidivittatus (Malloch, 1915); and C. tentans × C. dilutus (Shobanov, Kiknadze and Butler, 1999) (our data).
