• who: C-band et al. from the Three Prochilodontidae species were analyzed: Prochilodus mariae (, specimens), Semaprochilodus kneri (, specimens), and Slaticeps (, specimens). All specimens were juveniles (immature), so sex determination was not attempted. Fish were collected with seine nets in lowland flood plains near Caicara del Orinoco, Bolivar State, Venezuela (N7º38'30", º09'00").
