- What: Drawing upon a review of existing literature and empirical research this study investigates the impact of language barriers cultural identity and acculturation processes on the wellbeing of Chinese international students. The paper discusses the role of counseling in addressing the mental health needs of this population considering the factors that influence help-seeking behaviors and counseling outcomes. The aim of the literature review is to explore the relationship between mental health counseling and help-seeking behaviors among Chinese international students, employing methodology and longitudinal analysis to examine this association.
