SUMMARY
This prompted the authors to ask in the local context: How does school leadership, within a community-engagement and equity frame, involve youth as leaders? Community-engaged research, like YPAR, encourages young people to engage with research and action that affects them, with justice that they care about, and it gives adult leaders in schools the chance to collaborate in ways that honor the knowledge and experiences of youth.
