Leisure-time physical activity, time spent sitting and risk of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: a cross-sectional study in puglia

  • What: The aim of this cross-sectional study was to determine the association between leisure-time physical activity (LTPA) and time spent sitting (TSS) and the likelihood of developing NAFLD in a sample of men and women aged 18-64 years from southern Italy. The aim of the study was to estimate the prevalence of cholelithiasis and its risk factors but also to probe other liver diseases. The study showed a low prevalence of hepatitis B and C infection and a high prevalence of NAFLD . All the studies were approved by the Ethics Committee and were conducted . . .
