- what: The global culture approach focuses on the problems that a homogenizing mass media-based culture poses for national identities. This is largely continuous with the focus of the third globalization model, based on the idea of global society. The research agenda of this theory is concerned with how TN Cs, transnational capitalist classes and the culture-ideology of consumerism operate to transform the world in terms of the global capitalist project.
