  • What: The overall aim of this study was to evaluate the impact and social sustainability of the Toilet Revolution among rural households across 10 provinces in China. Before the interview, all respondents were informed of the purpose of the study and assured that their participation was voluntary and anonymous, and that their responses would be used only for scientific research. The study design was approved by the scientific and technological ethics committee of the University of Science and Technology Beijing (Reference number: 2021-5-103), as part of a larger project aimed at field-testing renovated toilets . . .
