- how: The novelty of this study in addition to these results is that it differentiated between normal early and late fibrotic livers and showed that portal hemodynamic and hepatic volume changes occur gradually and are related to the atrophy-hypertrophy complex which is a characteristic imaging finding in cirrhosis.
