SUMMARY
In the search for innovation and improvement, digital tools have been transformative within the humanitarian health sphere. There is much scholarly literature on the benefits of participation within humanitarian and health care interventions and research, spanning several decades. With a focus on digital health specifically, O`Connor, Hanlon and O`Donnell et_al`s systematic review explores barriers to participation within digital health projects. Gearing et_al`s systematic review agreed with these findings and concluded that one of the main barriers was contextual unacceptability of interventions.
