Long term follow-up of patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma treated by intraoperative photodynamic therapy: an update from the indygo trial (nct03048240)

• What: The authors report updated exploratory analyses of OS PFS and health-related quality of life (HRQOL) for patients receiving (PDT) with 5-aminolevulinic acid hydrochloride (5-ALA HCl). The aim was to evaluate the feasibility and safety of the intraoperative PDT procedure using a dedicated illumination device. The authors report clinical data obtained during the INDYGO trial and describe the long-term follow-up over 5 years, after the end of the trial period. The authors focus on reporting the quality of life and the long-term results.
