    Cerel et_al found that close family members form the majority of the bereaved who are most impacted by suicide, and that they suffer more than non-family persons from suicide-related loss. While sharing several common features (e_g, sadness) with bereavement after other types of loss, especially bereavement following unexpected decease and violent decease, some of these features are more evident in suicide than non-suicide bereavement.
