• What: The authors presented the first report on a novel locus Ra mapping on the upper portion of chromosome 4 in a tetraploid population by the combination of NGS-BSA and developed molecular markers. In this study, a PCR-based marker named M10-8 was developed based on an InDel variant closely linked to a novel Ra locus, which imparts ERA and differs from the hypersensitive resistance (HR) to PVA on chromosome 11 reported in S. tuberosum ssp andigena (Hämäläinen et_al 2000).
