SUMMARY

    In the past, so-called induced or recoil terms in nuclear β decay have received considerable attention, both theoretically and experimentally (e_g, ). Its study was motivated mainly in relation to experimental tests of the conserved vector current (CVC) hypothesis (see, e_g_[6-13]) and searches for second class currents (e_g, ). With the advent of particle traps and new detection techniques the precision of such measurements has improved significantly, and several results with a precision of about 1% or better have been reported already (see, e_g, for the β-ν correlation, for the β-asymmetry parameter, and for other . . .
