  • What: The article focuses on the interactions between humans and technologically advanced1 machines on land and onboard liquefied natural gas (lng) carriers . In this article, I consider the ways in which technological advancement hides or extracts human work, as human relations and sentiments-such as, worry, love, and care-that go into maturing the machine through its initial testing and maintenance are made irrelevant and superfluous.
