HIGHLIGHTS
- What: This study seeks to address this gap by examining the subjective experiences of mothers caring for children with mild intellectual disabilities. Participants were selected using purposive sampling to ensure relevance to the research focus. Open-ended questions allowed participants to express their experiences freely while remaining aligned with the research objectives. Challenges of Caregiving: Stigma and Emotional Burden Consistent with Niedbalski , this study shows that mothers of children with special needs often face social stigma and feel isolated.
