SUMMARY
The Medicare program provides health insurance coverage to more than 50 million older adults in the United_States. One group that may significantly benefit from reducing the age of Medicare eligibility are low-income adults, who have worse health outcomes and higher rates of morbidity than higherincome adults in the the authors.
