HIGHLIGHTS
SUMMARY
Individual-level prediction is a fundamental goal in systems neuroscience and is important for precision medicine (Gabrieli et_al, 2015; Woo et_al, 2017; Eickhoff and Langner, 2019; Varoquaux and Poldrack, 2019). This has led to systemic issues related to low reproducibility and inflated prediction performance (Arbabshirani et_al, 2017; Bzdok and Meyer-Lindenberg, 2018; Masouleh et_al, 2019; Poldrack et_al, 2020). Prediction performance can dramatically improve when training models with well-powered samples (Chu et_al, 2012; Cui and Gong, 2018; He et_al, 2020; Schulz et_al, 2020). In machine_learning, this problem is known as meta-learning or learning . . .
