Metabolic and microbiome alterations following the enrichment of a high-fat diet with high oleic acid peanuts versus the traditional peanuts cultivar in mice

    Experimental groups were as follows: normal-diet (ND), HFD, HFD with "Hanoch" peanuts (HFDh), w/w 4%, HFD with high oleic acid "Hanoch-Oleic" peanuts (HFDo), w/w 4%. Pro-inflammatory cytokines, other adipokines, along free fatty_acids (FFA) secreted from adipose_tissue may trigger and/or aggravate the development of IR and other pathological repercussions.
