HIGHLIGHTS
- who: TYPE and colleagues from the Academia Sinica, Taiwan Aarhus University have published the research: Microbial infection risk predicts antimicrobial potential of avian symbionts, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
- what: The authors characterized the antimicrobial capacity of bacterial isolates from the uropygial gland skin of nestlings and/ or adults of 19 bird species against several referential bacterial strains. Similarly to the approach described for GLMs, the authors first checked the effect of age on the antimicrobial profile of the eight species with information for both nestlings and adults.
