• What: The aim of this review is to analyze and synthesize the literature on diabetes and mental health with a focus on the less studied illnesses, like BD, schizophrenia, and OCD. This systematic review was conducted by gathering various sources, several of which were retrospective cohort studies that investigated the intersectionality of diabetes and mental illness with SES, epidemiology, and clinical implications.
