SUMMARY
In the first passage, either καὶ τέτριξ was falsely added after ὡσαύτως δὲ καὶ κόρυδος, or τέτριξ replaced the name of a different kind of bird (ὡσαύτως δὲ καὶ κόρυδος καὶ …). The τέτριξ is a rare and unusual name for a bird, and its identify or character is not explained anywhere else in ancient texts, so it would be easy for later copyists to be confused about its nature and get things wrong. With the removal of τέτριξ from the first passage, the flow of the whole . . .
