HIGHLIGHTS
- who: . and colleagues from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa have published the research work: Molecular and biological characterization of hepatitis B virus subgenotype F1b clusters: Unraveling its role in hepatocarcinogenesis, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
- how: Taken together these results showed that gtF1b Cosmopolitan and gtF1b Basal variants differ in their replication capacity their protein expression and secretion levels as well as in the regulation of the activity of the viral promoters. In this study to mimic viral diversity a mix of clones of each cluster was used.
