Prior to 2000, P. sojae is characterized into 55 races (now known as pathotypes) based upon its virulence on a standard differential set of 8 soybean genotypes that each contain a different Rps gene, and a universal susceptible genotype (Grau et_al, 2004; Cerritos Garcia et_al, 2022). In the United_States and Canada, Rps1a, Rps1b, Rps1c, Rps1k, Rps3a, and Rps6 have been deployed in many commercial soybean cultivars . . .
