A high proportion of these infections are from countries without previously documented monkeypox transmission and are caused by the Clade II of monkeypox, formerly known as the West African clade. In this review, the authors document the available evidence on the treatment and management of monkeypox infections, focusing on the neonatal and pediatric population.
