• What: Through attention mechanism analysis the authors demonstrate that the model can effectively combine local and global sequence information enhancing its interpretability. The authors propose a novel predictor called "msBERT-Promoter," which is a two-stage predictor with the first stage used for promoter classification and the second stage for predicting promoter strength.
