Multi-layered roles of bbx proteins in plant growth and development

HIGHLIGHTS

  • who: Jing Cao from the (UNIVERSITY) have published the research work: Multi-layered roles of BBX proteins in plant growth and development, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)

SUMMARY

Some of the B-box domain not only directly mediate transcriptional regulation, but also interact with other factors to modulate protein activity including binding ability, transcriptional activity, and E3 ubiquitin ligase activity and so on (Gangappa and Botto 2014). BBX19 not only physically interacts with CO to repress its transcriptional activity on FT expression and flowering, but also associates with COP1 which promotes its E3 ubiquitin . . .
