SUMMARY

    The studies considered the patients` and their families` experience of MFT as well as the experiences of the therapists involved. Berit conducted individual qualitative interviews with two patients, twelve family members, eight therapists, and group interviews with seven patients and eighteen family members. After the fieldwork was completed, Berit contacted the family who was involved in the two narratives with an invitation to participate in further research.
