- what: The authors show that the new vaccine is immunogenic in murine models and induces high RBD and spike specific -antibody titers which are capable of blocking the replication of MERS-CoV/EMC/2012 isolate in_vitro. The aim for any anti-viral vaccine is the elicitation of neutralizing antibodies which are able to directly inhibit cellular infection and provide protection from disease38.
