SUMMARY

    The authors focused the attention on the in_vitro effects of NiO NPs on primary cultures of Sertoli cells (SC). The experimental studies conducted in the last years have enabled the authors to develop a system, using in_vitro pre-pubertal porcine bioengineered cell culture system as a new model for experimental studies on male infertility. The primary SCs cultures show many similarities to human SC and hold great potential as an experimental model to study the "in_vitro" effects of toxic substances and heavy metals, as demonstrated in the previous work that confirmed the negative impact . . .
