SUMMARY

    Adolescence represents a sensitive developmental period characterized by profound biological, cognitive, and social changes, as well as important developmental tasks in the definition of one`s identity and autonomy (Dahl et_al, 2018). The extent to which the effects of COVID-19-related perceived stress on NSSI were buffered for adolescents who reported higher levels of social support (i.e., peer and parental support) during the pandemic was investigated. COVID-19 Related Stress, Pre-Existing Vulnerabilities, and NSSI Adverse and negative life events are well-established risk factors for the initiation and maintenance of NSSI . . .
