In this scenario, a new potential application of circRNAs as biomarkers of sperm quality has been highlighted by profiling a complete dataset of circRNA cargo in asthenozoospermic patients, and not least, a new intriguing role of circRNAs in the modulation of sperm nuclear remodeling dynamics, during their epididymal maturation, has been recently reported.
