    A nuclear spin of I=7/2+ was tentatively allocated to the ground_state of 253 Cf according to the assignment to a 7/2[613] Nilsson-model state, although its nuclear decay is also compatible with a spin of 9/2. Although the ratios for the hyperfine parameters of the upper and lower atomic states Al /Au and Bl /Bu PHYSICAL REVIEW C 107, 034313 HFS parameters calculated from the ground_state values using the ratios obtained for 251 Cf and 249 Cf, respectively.
