The aim of the AREDS2 report was to enhance the original AREDS formulation by assessing the effects of lutein, zeaxanthin, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), while evaluating the impact of removing β-carotene and reducing zinc dosages .
