    Included in many of these publications, and typically used as contemporaneous "control" cells in experiments, are two immortalized, nontransformed human pancreas-derived cell lines - so-called Human Pancreatic Ductal Epithelial (HPDE) and Human Pancreatic Nestin-expressing (HPNE) cells.
