SUMMARY
Emergence of CZA resistance in carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales (CPE) has been reported in patients (Shields et_al, 2017; Giddins et_al, 2018). Several mechanisms of CZA resistance have been linked to specific mutations in the blaKPC gene (Shields et_al, 2017; Giddins et_al, 2018) and to permeability defects (porin deficiency), often combined with increased expression of KPC or ESBL determinants (Humphries and Hemarajata, 2017). Thereafter, files were sorted by SAM tools, variants were called and consensus_sequences were generated using BCTftools (Li, 2011; Danecek et_al, 2021).
