Operando x-ray absorption spectroscopy as a powerful tool for uncovering property-activity relationships for oxygen evolution transition metal oxide catalysts

HIGHLIGHTS

  • What: The research is mainly focused on the identification of catalytic or activity descriptors able to predict the optimal physicochemical properties to maximize the OER activity with the aim to the rapid design of novel, highly active perovskite materials. The study shows that different conductive additives have different effects on OER (and also oxygen reduction reaction, ORR) activity and cobalt redox behavior, with carbon being the additive that shows the more pronounced catalyst/support interaction.
  • Who: Electrocatalysts Property/activity relationship X-ray and colleagues from the received her PhD in Materials Science from the University . . .
