SUMMARY
Variety-the variability of sexed and gendered groups-is taken into account as all of these described dimensions of sex/gender can be combined in different ways (e_g, feminine identity, masculine expression, and gender neutral/egalitarian roles). In the sense of intersectionality as a theoretical framework, the concept assumes that societal sex/gender positions are heterogeneous and determined by interacting social strata, e_g, family situation, education or occupation. Gender refers to social power relations of segregated gendered groups and includes socially influenced behaviors and living conditions and thus differences in e_g, activity patterns, microenvironments . . .
