Optical and molecular insights into dissolved organic matter release in soils induced by downward migration of biochar colloids

HIGHLIGHTS

• What: Little research focuses on the effect of biochar colloid transport on soil DOM leaching through combined optical EEM and molecular FT-ICRMS characterizations. The aims of this study were to identify the role of biochar colloid transport in the soil DOM leaching and_(2) evaluate the impact and mechanism of pristine and aged biochar colloids on the composition and properties of DOM leached from different soils.
