- who: Biology et al. from the University of of Biology and Health Science, New England have published the paper: Organismal __NEWPAGE__Integrative Organismal The Digestive Diverticula in the Carnivorous Nudibranch Melibe leonina Do Not Contain Photosynthetic Symbionts, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
- what: The focus of this project was to test the hypothesis that M. leonina accumulates symbiotic photosynthetic dinoflagellates in these diverticula. None of the experiments the authors conducted supported this hypothesis. The lack of such correlation in the study provides further evidence that these animals did not harbor photosynthetic zooxanthellae.
