Parents’ participation in care during neonatal intensive care unit stay in covid-19 era: an observational study

HIGHLIGHTS

• What: The aim of this study was to describe the barriers to good parental participation during their stay in the neonatal intensive care unit in the COVID-19 era. For a power of 0.95, based on the recruited sample size (270 participants) and an alpha level of 0.05, this analysis showed sensitivity for an effect effect size f2=0.13, which is defined as medium . Lastly, this study showed a lower involvement of parents who had planned or unplanned cesarean sections.
