- What: The authors aim to bridge the gap in current research within this area which predominantly relies satellite data by integrating qualitative assessments of people`s perceptions of thereby providing valuable ground-based observations of variability and its local communities. This study shows that a majority of the surveyed population in the Upper Indus Basin, when asked about their perception of change in climate indicators over the past 10 years , acknowledges a change in the climate parameters, including average temperature, average rainfall, and erratic rainfall.
