    Previous investigations primarily conducted with in_vitro cell cultures have shown that PERM1 is expressed in skeletal and cardiac muscles and involved in the expression of genes regulating ­metabolism1,2. Unbiased bioinformatic analyses of the Perm1 KO hearts and validation with biochemical assays suggest that endogenous PERM1 in the heart mediates expression of genes involved . . .
